The couple reportedly called time on their controversial relationship, with the duo taking a “break” after two years of dating.
However, despite going their separate ways, there is reportedly “no bad blood between them” as the decision to breakup was mutual.
“Harry didn’t dump Olivia or vice versa,” a source told Page Six. “It’s impossible to have a relationship when he’s in every continent next year and Olivia has her job and her kids. This is the right thing for both of them.”
It’s understood Styles, 28, will now embark on his South American tour, while the 38-year-old actress-cum-director heads to London to work on a documentary and spend time with her children: son Otis, eight, and daughter Daisy, six.
The kids are already in London where they have been spending time with their father, Jason Sudeikis, who is across the pond filming Ted Lasso.
People magazine was among the first outlets to break the news of Wilde and Styles’ split over the weekend.
“It’s a very amicable decision. They’re still very close friends,” a source told the outlet. “Right now, they have different priorities that are keeping them apart.”
“The public pressure on them has been difficult,” a friend also told the outlet, referring to the drama surrounding the couple’s film Don’t Worry Darling and persistent rumours Wilde left Sudeikis for Styles. “They’ve had ups and downs throughout the relationship.”
The former couple were first linked in January 2021 after being photographed holding hands at a friend’s wedding. The timeline of their relationship has been the subject of much speculation as Wilde and Sudeikis’ split was only made public two months prior to Wilde and Styles’ couple debut. However, Wilde has always maintained there was no overlap between both relationships.
