Nicola and Brooklyn Peltz Beckham went to extreme lengths to ensure that no photos were leaked to social media by guests on their wedding day.
The couple tied the knot on Saturday in a star-studded traditional Jewish ceremony on Saturday April 9 at Peltz’s family’s $123 million, 44,000-square-foot oceanfront mansion in Palm Beach, Florida.
The star-studded guest list included A-listers like Serena and Venus Williams and Eva Longoria, and although it was rumoured that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex were reportedly invited, the former senior royals did not show up on the day.
Despite the list of big names, guests and staff alike were required to conceal their mobile phones to prevent photos of the day leaking.
Ahead their wedding, Nicola and Brooklyn signed a mega deal with British Vogue which maintained that all wedding snaps were signed exclusively to the iconic publication.
As such, all guests were banned from any photos from the big day, including the rehearsal dinner which took place the evening prior.
Instead, all attendees were forced to conceal their mobiles inside dozens of specially made pouches.
The bags were made by a brand called Yondr and were electronically sealed. Guests were able to bring the bags around with them and when they entered a phone-allowed area, the bags would automatically unseal.
Nicola and Brooklyn also ditched their own personal phones on the day to ensure that no photos were leaked on their end
In a story posted to Instagram, Nicola revealed that the newlywed duo only used an old pair of Nokia’s during the wedding.
“Our wedding phones and the only personal pics we took @brooklynbeckham,” Peltz wrote.
Brooklyn and Nicola got engaged in July 2020 after making their relationship public that January. The pair shared the happy news on social media weeks later.
“Two weeks ago I asked my soulmate to marry me and she said yes,” Brooklyn captioned his post alongside an engagement pic of the pair on Instagram.
“I am the luckiest man in the world. I promise to be the best husband and the best daddy one day ❤️ I love you baby xx.”
“You’ve made me the luckiest girl in the world,” Nicola wrote, using the same photo in her post. “I can’t wait to spend the rest of my life by your side. Your love is the most precious gift. I love you so so much baby 🥰.”
Brooklyn and Nicola planned on tying the knot earlier than 2022 but postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
