A WOMAN has warned against letting a tattooist have free rein on your inkings, after she ended up being “branded” by hers.
She took to TikTok recently to share a video of herself having the first in a series of sessions to get the massive design on the left side of her face removed, and was inundated with questions about why she had it in the first place.
“It’s not because it’s a face tattoo – it’s the story behind the face tattoo,” she said.
“I don’t tell people this story because it’s extremely embarrassing but now I’m getting it removed I will tell you.”
She began with some background, telling viewers she was “21, dumb” and in the “YOLO (you only live once) phase of life”.
She was also working as a stripper at the time.
During a beach day, her friend said she had a pal who runs his own tattoo shop in Laguna Beach, and suggested they go, “hang out there and maybe get some tattoos”.
Once there, her friend was telling the man what she wanted, and he told her that he could “hook” her up.
Then it was this woman’s turn, and she decided to embrace her spontaneity and get a face tattoo.
“I told him I wanted crystals coming out the side of my face and he was like, ‘Oh no, that’s going to look so stupid, don’t do that’,” she explained.

“He was like, ‘You should just trust me, you should just let me do what I want -it’s going to come out so good.’
“And because I have extreme anxiety and i don’t like sticking up for myself or telling people no I was just like, Ok, alright, it’s going to be ok – he owns this shop, he’s a professional, this is a really nice shop, his tattoo are usually really expensive and he’s doing it for free, you should just let him do what he wants – like he knows what’s best, just let it go.”
Once his tattoo was finished, she went to the mirror to have a look and was entirely unimpressed with what she saw.
Referring to a picture she flashed on the screen, she said: “As you can see from the look on my face I was not f**king amused, I was not happy.
“I was literally like, ‘What the f**k is this?’
“And behind me he’s dying laughing, something’s hialrious to this man. And he’s like, ‘Do you want to know what it is?’
“‘Yes, sir, I would like to know what this f**king huge blob is on my face, I’d love to know, please tell me.'”
The tattooist was dying laughing – he thought it was hilarious.”
She then showed a $1 bill, and the design is part of the crest on the bank note.
“Do you get it, do you get the big joke?” she asked.
“Because I’m a stripper – that’s the joke – basically branding me as a stripper for the rest of my life on my face. What the f**k.
“And he thought it was hilarious. He was laughing his a*s off, I’m very much not.”
She added that since she had the tattoo seven years ago, she’s always lied about the inspiration behind it.
“I lie because it’s so f**king embarrassing and humiliating,” she sighed.
“And I am no longer dancing now – that part of my life is in the past – and i would like this the f**k off my face.
“I’ve been wanting it the f**k off my face and I can finally afford to do that now, and it’s getting done.
“And I am extremely happy.”
She concluded her tale by revealing the “moral of the story” – ” do not let men pressure you into doing things you do not want to do.
“Stand up for yourself, speak up for yourself, otherwise you’re going to look like me – stupid.”
