Tammin Sursok renews vows with husband Sean after he almost died from COVID-19

Tammin Sursok has marked her 10-year wedding anniversary to her husband Sean McEwen with a poignant post about his near-fatal battle with COVID-19.

The Pretty Little Liars actress, 38, revealed on Instagram she surprised her entire family with a vow renewal ceremony to celebrate a decade of marriage.

In an emotional caption about almost losing Sean to COVID-19 the year earlier, Tammin gushed about her husband in a sweet message about treasuring “memories”.

“I surprised my entire family with a 10-year vow renewal. To dear Sean, on our 10-year wedding anniversary…” Tammin captioned the post.

“We almost lost you a year ago. I remember driving down the street and my heart started breaking.”

She added: “I don’t remember a memory without you in it. Without loving you, without us laughing or surviving or dreaming or needing each other. My memories are you.”

The former Home and Away star went on to list her favourite memories over the past decade of marriage and opened up about the vows she made to her husband.

“Eating frozen cherries in Turkey, waking up at 4am to the Cambodian sunrise, getting seasick on a boat in the Seychelles, sleeping with our babies in the hospital at one day old, making movies together in the heat of Oklahoma, living through a pandemic…” she continued.

“Us together, walking through life, though better or worse, in sickness and in health. Today I vow to create more memories with you. To listen more and speak less. To live more and fear less, to be your safe place to fall. To love you for the rest of my life. “You are my hero, my lover, my best friend. Forever mine. Forever thine. Forever ours.”

The couple renewed their vows in an intimate ceremony on the beach in front of several family members, with Sursok wearing a white floor-length dress.

Tammin and Sean share two daughters, Phoenix Emmanuel, seven, and Lennon Bleu, two.

In a Thanksgiving post earlier this year, Tammin revealed Sean almost died after contracting a “severe” case of COVID-19 in November 2020.

‘My husband got severe Covid around this time last year and my world was turned upside down,’ she said.

“Life isn’t always perfect and sometimes it’s a bumpy road but when I focus on what I’m thankful for everything makes sense.”
