Morgan Gruell, the daughter of Olympian Lisa Curry and former Ironman Grant Kenny, is pregnant with her third child.
In an Instagram post shared on Sunday, the 31-year-old announced the exciting news that she is expecting a baby with her husband Ryan Gruell.
“Life is crazy — we might as well stay in the crazy!” she captioned a post of her sonogram. “Baby #3 due end of May!”
“My beautiful baby girl 😍😍,” mother Lisa wrote in the comments. “So happy for you and you’re beautiful family. Crazy grannie to the rescue when you need xxx.”
Ryan also shared a photo of the sonogram, writing, “Our family is growing by another. Flynn and Taj are going to share the role of big brother at the end of May when we welcome another Gruell into the world.
“We were so happy to see a perfectly happy and singular baby developing at our 12 week scan,” he added. “True to form to Morgan continues to amaze me with her capacity to love and care for the boys and I (including my FIFO fathering), while also dealing with the fatigue, sickness and soreness that the first trimester has brought.”
Morgan shares two children — sons Taj, one, and Flynn, three — with Ryan, who she married in 2016.
Her post comes two months after honouring her sister, Jaimi Kenny, one year after her death.
“Remembering Jaimi, one year on,” Morgan captioned her reel on Instagram.
Jaimi passed away in September 2020 after a private, long-term battle with an undisclosed illness. She was 33.
“Today, 1 year ago, we lost our treasured first born, our blue eyed, chatty Jaimi,” Lisa Curry said in a tribute post one year after her daughter’s death.
“That gut wrenching, heart breaking moment where we had to say goodbye.
“But each day I try to continue on, one step at a time to get things done, to continue being a mother, a grannie, a wife, a friend, a business owner… at times distracting myself so much that I can’t think of anything… but then the quiet times come and everything comes flooding back, every feeling, every memory and I feel like I’m drowning in the pain… and I just can’t … do anything.
“I hope that wherever she is — above, or at arms length in spirit energy she can still see and feel the love. Remembering you always our beautiful girl.😞🌸👼 Still feels like yesterday💔.”
