Kyle MacLachlan has decided to keep a video diary of his time in Sydney quarantine.
The Twin Peaks star, 62, is using his downtime in isolation to familiarise himself with Aussie culture.
Thus far, we’ve been gifted with two entries where he launches into his version of an Australian accent.
“G’day Sydney! It’s Kyle MacLachlan, I’m here in quarantine for the next few weeks, and I’m doing OK despite being isolated in my room. Crikey, my day is choc-a-block. Fair dinkum,” he said in a Twitter clip, with a view of Sydney’s Centrepoint Tower in the background. Watch above!
“Once I put on my dacks, from brekky to arvo and even to din din I’m flat out. There’s heaps to do, and even though it’s not hard yakka, I’m no bludger. I reckon it’ll pay off.
“When I finish quarantine the first thing I’ll do is get into my budgie smugglers, slip on my thongs, grab my Esky and head to the beach for a sunbake. Then after a couple of snags on the barbie with my cobbers, we’ll soak a slab or even a goon bag from a bottlo, oh it’ll be a right good piss up. No wuckas.”
MacLachlan is visiting Sydney to film a new comedy series Joe Exotic which documents the life of the zoo operator who was slapped with 22 years in prison for plotting to murder another cat breeder, Carole Baskin. The series started shooting in Brisbane last month.
MacLachlan is slated to star as Howard Baskin, Carole Baskin’s husband. Kate McKinnon stars as Carole.
Joe Exotic was the centre of a Netlix mini-series titled Tiger King: Murder, Mayhem and Madness which took the world by storm. It was watched by 34.3 million according to Nielsen ratings.
