Home And Away star Dieter Brummer has died at age 45.
The Logie winner’s death was confirmed on July 26 after police found him at his home in Glenhaven over the weekend. His death is not being treated as suspicious.
“About 1.30 pm on Saturday, July 24, Officers from the Hills Police Area Command responded to a report of a concern for welfare at a home on Glenhaven Road, Glenhaven,” a NSW Police spokesperson told 9Honey Celebrity.
“A body of a man was located inside the home, his death is not to believed to be suspicious. A report will be prepared for the information for the coroner.”
Brummer was best known for starring as Melissa George’s love interest Shane Parish on Home & Away. He was the show’s heartthrob during his stint between 1992 and 1996.
In 1995 and 1996, he was awarded the Silver Logie for Most Popular Actor. He’d also been acknowledged with Gold Logie nominations between 1994 and 1996.
He went on to score roles in TV dramas like Underbelly, Rescue Special ops, Winners and Losers. He also had a brief stint on Neighbours in 2011 and 2012 as Troy Miller.
Between acting roles, Brummer worked as a window cleaner.
