Opening up to Live with Kelly and Ryan earlier this week, the 47-year-old Jolt star revealed that she hasn’t been able to see her 22-year-old daughter Lily Mo Sheen due to the pandemic and associated lockdowns. Watch above.
“I haven’t seen my daughter for two years because of everything. Also, I went to Canada working and she couldn’t come see me,” Beckinsale said.
“Two years of not seeing your child is the most preposterous thought.”
Beckinsale shares Lily — who is an actress herself — with 52-year-old ex Michael Sheen of Good Omens. The duo were together from 1995 to 2003.
Sheen also shares a one-year-old daughter, Lyra, with his girlfriend Anna Lundberg.
Beckinsale said that Lily and herself have been FaceTiming through the pandemic.
“Thank goodness for FaceTime and all that, but we’re both panicking that we’ll look really old to each other,” she said.
Although Lily is 22, Beckinsale jokes that she really “looks eight” — though Lily is apparently worried that Beckinsale will think she looks old, to which Beckinsale told her that she’ll look old herself.
Beckinsale then gushed about her daughter, who is slated to appear in her first main film role as Nicolas Cage‘s daughter in The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent, which is in post-production and is set to be released next year.
“She did her first movie last year, she’s playing Nicolas Cage’s daughter,” the Pearl Harbour actress said.
“She’s off and running. It’s quite scary. I said, ‘Be a doctor,’ and then this happened.”
