Kloots, 39, who is a co-host of The Talk, revealed on the show’s Friday episode that she has begun “dating again” just over one year after her husband passed away, aged 41, due to complications with COVID-19.
The star admitted that putting herself back out there has not been easy, but didn’t share many other details.
Prior to marrying Cordero in 2017, Kloots was married to fellow stage actor David Larsen — and admitted that meeting them both when she was doing Broadway shows, instead of getting to know them through dating, has made dating hard now.
“I’ve never actually had to date. I just started dating again and it is so crazy to be dating for the first time at 39 years old. And it’s quite terrifying and really out of your element, and it’s just hard. It is hard.”
Although she has been finding it hard, the television personality said there are “wonderful” bits too.
“It’s all wonderful. It’s wonderful people I’m meeting, and it’s been a great process so far. But I’ll just say it’s very hard without getting into too many details.”
Cordero passed away in July last year after battling COVID-19 for months.
During his battle, Kloots had to make the decision to amputate his leg, and at one stage, he was put on a ventilator.
They share one son together, two-year-old Elvis Eduardo Cordero.
