BACHELORETTE fans slammed Katie Thurston for giving Greg Grippo a SECOND one-on-one date and claimed he appears to “not even like her.”
When the frontrunner heard his name on the date card, he had a sad reaction on his face despite saying he was “ecstatic” to spend more time with the ABC lead.
The move comes as an extra sting to other contestants in the house – including Mike P. and Brendan – who have not received a single one-on-one date yet.
“Greg, let’s see if this can really work. Love, Katie,” the message to the suitor said.
Controversial newcomer Blake Moynes admitted to “being jealous” of Greg’s date and needing to “make up with what him and Katie will gain from today.”
The couple then met on a dirt path before their Seattle-themed date and immediately embraced with a tight hug and long kiss.
Katie, 30, then showed him her own version of Pike Place Market – a famous fish and food center in her Washington hometown.
As they went to a romantic candlelit dinner later in the evening, The Bachelorette admitted to being “nervous” that Greg will “leave.”
“I’m not going to lie, I’m so nervous and terrified you’re just going to get up and leave one of these days,” she confessed.
When Greg asks why she thinks that, Katie responds that she can “tell by the way he looks around the other guys on group dates.”

However, the New Jersey native assured her he was there for the right reasons and claimed he was falling for her.
“If I get to stick around, I want to introduce you to my family,” he told her.
Fans were not as convinced though – and claimed the strong feelings are not mutual.
One person wrote: “Greg does not like Katie y’all she’s moving a little fast.”
“Greg: I am ecstatic for another one on one with Katie. Also Greg: Saddest boy look ever on his face,” one person tweeted.
Another suggested: “Katie likes greg too much and it’s so sad.”
“Greg isn’t that into Katie,” another said alongside a sad face.
One more insisted: “Greg Is Wayyyy to confident.”
The date comes after a source exclusively told The Sun that Greg “always wanted fame” and “tried for YEARS” to be casted on the show.
a friend of Greg – whom has known him for “years” – exclusively told The Sun he’s been attempting to get on TV for a long time.
“His goal was always, always, always fame. He’s been trying to get on The Bachelorette literally for years,” the source insisted.
The insider claimed he was first casted on Clare Crawley’s season in 2020 – which Bachelor blogger RealitySteve also reported – however, that fell through due to Covid.
He also attempted to get on Hannah Brown’s season back in 2019, the pal alleged.
They explained: “He needed a shortcut to success because he is not a go-getter on his own. He’s the biggest schemer of all.
“The way the world is believing this nice boy act is incredibly nauseating and sad for women.
“So many of us that know Greg are equally shocked and appalled at how different he’s coming off on the show. Beyond phony.”
The source continued: “First of all, he’s not shy or awkward like he’s trying to come off as on TV. Quite the opposite.
“Greg gets everything handed to him, gets away with bad behavior, and leaves girls either heartbroken and questioning themselves, or both.
“Then he discards them and starts fresh with a new girl with the same exact innocent boy act. He has zero sense of accountability.”
Greg did not immediately respond to The Sun’s request for comment.
